Spring has sprung and I feel like this month just flew by, it was such a busy month filled with mock exams and so many other things. These are my favourites/everything I have been loving this month. There aren't a lot of products for this month because last weekend I bought a couple of things that I would like to use for the course of next month and tell you my thoughts at the end of October, because I would like to give honest reviews on the products since I have only been using some of them for a week now.

COSMETICS

BODY:

Recently I received the Vaseline Aloe Vera range from Brand Fans and my favourite product from the range has to be the spray moisturiser. I have used Vaseline moisturizers for my body many times before and I already love their body butters and lotions. There are a few reasons why I love the spray moisturiser over the other two creams I received, firstly it sprays on to the body - making it so convenient- and the nozzle sprays the lotion out so gently, not all over the place, you only need a little bit of product - it will last a long time, it is perfect for travelling or taking to the beach as it cannot leak (the spray nozzle locks when you turn it) like other moisturisers in regular bottle or tubs, the bottle is very big and holds a lot of product (190ml), the formula of the moisturiser is so lightweight but extremely moisturising (it is formulated for dry skin which makes me love it even more), and lastly I absolutely love the smell - the whole range has the same fresh aloe scent, making it perfect for summer. I have been using the product since I received it and I have to say it has very quickly become a favourite of mine and is going to be a product that I will enjoy using throughout the summer months. I looked to see how much it costs in stores and I won't lie it is on the pricey side, it is R93.99 (Pick n Pay) for the spray moisturiser. If you are looking for a moisturiser like this that is so easy to use and is just overall a good product, then I highly recommend it, but if you are not wanting to spend that much on a something like this, then I recommend looking at their other products from the aloe range.

HAIR:

I have been using this hair care product for some time and always keep forgetting to add it into my favourites, so here it is! It is the Matrix Oil Wonders strengthening oil in Indian Amla. There are a few ways you can use the product: you can use it after styling your hair to give it a healthier look (it also helps with a bit of frizz), or you can you use it just before styling your hair when it is wet. I preferably use it after I have blow-dried my hair or straightened my hair because I like the way it makes my hair look - it gives it a moisturised and healthy shine, and it takes away the the slight bit of frizz I sometimes experience. I also really love the smell of this oil. You do not need a lot of the oil, a little goes a long way, I have long hair and I only use one pump of the oil, which isn't very much. I actually have no idea how much this product is, my mother usually buys it from her hairdresser when she has her hair done and it has run out. I think the only place you can purchase Matrix hair products from is at a hair salon.

TV SHOWS

DYNASTY:

I started watching this show at the end of exams as I was looking for a new series to watch and I had heard so many people say they really enjoyed this series. I must say that I genuinely enjoyed the series and it was really good. It is a reboot of the old Dynasty TV series that used to air many years ago. There is currently only one season of the series available and season 2 airs in the beginning of October - which is so soon and I am so excited! If you are looking for a drama-filled series then I definitely recommend Dynasty and I binge watched it over a week.

LIFE SENTENCE:

I saw the trailer for this series on my Instagram explore page and thought it looked quite interesting and started watching it. It is about a girl who has cancer and only has 6 months left to live, she lives each day as if it was her last, until she is told that the clinical trial she went through completely cured her cancer. The series follows how her life is changed after that and how her cancer has affected her family. It was such a good series and I really loved it, it has romance, drama and comedy all wrapped up into one. There is currently only one season available and I am hoping that there will be a season two of the show, there is no set date for season 2 yet.

THE SINNER (SEASON 2):

I was really looking forward to the second season of The Sinner as I really enjoyed season 1 that came out last year. It is mostly a psychological thriller, which I quite enjoy. There is not much I can say about the series without giving it all away, it is the kind of show that you need to watch to understand. I have watched the whole of season 2 and I really thought it was just as good as season 1. Season 1 has a different story line to season 2, so you don't have to watch season 1 to understand season 2, there are some things about season 1 mentioned in season 2 but they aren't that important. This show has a lot suspense and the end of every episode leaves you wanting more.

MOVIES

TO ALL THE BOYS I'VE LOVED BEFORE:

I think this has become everyone's favourite movie. I watched the movie a few days after it came out on Netflix (it is a Netflix original movie) and I loved it so much! It is the perfect romantic-comedy and the story line is just so good. It is about a teenage girl who whenever she has a crush, she writes a letter to them about how she feels, she keeps all of the letters in a box and never sends them, until someone decides to send them and she is left to deal with all of the boys knowing about how she felt. If you have not seen this movie yet, you definitely need to watch it.

ADRIFT:

I saw the trailer for this movie a couple of months ago and I was really looking forward to watching it. It is based on true events and it is honestly such an amazing but extremely sad movie. It is about a couple that are sailing across the ocean that get caught in a huge hurricane and the aftermath of the storm.

HOW IT ENDS:

This movie came out in July on Netflix but I only managed to watch it now. I thought it was a good movie and that it is worth the watch. It is an apocalyptic movie about the beginning of the end and how a father and the boyfriend of his daughter fight to get to her to rescue her.

SHUTTER ISLAND:

This movie came out long ago (2010), but I saw the image of the movie poster and it jogged my memory about it. I had wanted to watch it because I had heard it was a really good movie and I am glad I waited until I was old enough to watch it and understand it. It is a psychological thriller and I honestly enjoyed this movie, it really messes with your head and overall it has a brilliant story line. I highly recommend it if you have not seen it. It is set in the 1950's and the movie is about a US marshal that goes over to Shutter Island, a psychiatric penitentiary center secluded on an island away from the mainland, to investigate a missing patient.

THE GREATEST SHOWMAN:

When I had heard about this movie I was a bit reluctant to watch it because I am really not a fan of musicals, I just find them super cringey and a bit annoying. A lot of people were raving about this movie and every person I had asked about it said they enjoyed it even though they do not enjoy typical musicals, so I decided to watch it and see what the hype was all about. I honestly enjoyed this movie and thought it was extremely good considering it was a musical. It is quite different to the typical musicals I have seen and it is the only musical movie I think I will ever genuinely enjoy.

APPS

CANVA:

I discovered this app when I was trying to find an app to make covers for my highlights of my Instagram stories. I really love this app because there are so many templates to use and get ideas from to create the most amazing images. I use this app to make posts for my Instagram stories about my blogs and my highlight covers. The main reason why I love this app is because it is so easy to use, you can create anything you want - your options are endless and it has so many beautiful designs, colours and fonts.

HIGHLIGHT OF MY MONTH

My highlight of September was my matric dress up and assembly day. Our whole grade got to dress up and we hosted an assembly for the rest of the school. I dressed up as Eleven from Stranger Things. It was such a memorable day for me as it is getting close to the end of my school career and we don't have much time left together as a grade to do fun things like this.

I know this monthly favourites is a bit different to what I usually post, because I usually have more products to talk about, but next month I will have more products to talk about and recommend.
