A lot of the bath bombs I am reviewing in this post were released last year to the Lush range and I was super excited to try them! I am such a sucker for Lush bath products, especially the bath bombs and bubble bars. Lush does have a huge range of everything from skincare to makeup and hair care as well as their bath and body products.
INTERGALACTIC BATH BOMB
Intergalactic is the perfect bath bomb for a relaxing night in after a long day. This bath bomb puts on the best display with its blue and multicoloured bath art along with some gold glitter. This bath bomb has a really fresh and comforting fragrance from the peppermint oil, grapefruit oil and cedarwood oil inside the bath bomb. This bath bomb is definitely up there with my favourites . Intergalactic retails for R72.50 at Lush.
GODDESS BATH BOMB
The Goddess bath bomb has such a heavenly scent created by the jasmine absolute and sandalwood oil, as well as the fair trade Columbian cocoa butter which helps moisturize the skin. This bath bomb leaves the water a beautiful purple colour with a silver glitter. This bath bomb makes you feel so pampered and the scent just lifts your mood. Goddess, along with a few others is definitely a favourite of mine. You can purchase this bath bomb from Lush for R79.50.
TURTLE JELLY BOMB BATH BOMB
I was quite curious to try one of Lush's jelly bomb bath bombs when they were just released as they looked quite fun and interesting. A jelly bomb is a just like a regular bath bomb but with jelly on the inside. The jelly inside the bath bomb is one of Lush's unique bath creations (their shower jellies), so this is a combination of the bath bomb and the jelly in one. You can use the jelly inside to play with or bathe with as it moisturizes your skin while you rub it in. The turtle jelly bomb is so cute and it has a fresh, clean and calming scent to it (pine needle absolute, sea salt, cypress oil) and it turns the water a sea green/blue colour. I enjoyed trying this bath bomb out and I loved how it made my skin feel, the only downside would have to be the mess - the jelly sticks to the bath tub so you have to wash the bath tub out before the jelly dries out. The turtle jelly bomb retails for R89.00 at Lush.
TUMERIC LATTE BATH BOMB
I adore this bath bomb for it's amazing scent and it's great properties such as the coconut milk and tumeric powder which are both great for the skin. The gardenia extract and tonka absolute give this bath bomb it's wonderful scent, which is a warm, sweet and spicy smell. It really does make the bath look like a golden, tumeric latte with the gold glitter and the yellow water. This is another bath bomb that is perfect for relaxing and pampering. This bath bomb retails for R89.00 at Lush.
MARSHMALLOW WORLD BATH BOMB
I was drawn to this bath bomb instantly because of it's colour and scent. I love sweet but slightly spicy smells and the marshmallow world bath bomb is exactly that. This bath bomb does not have as much glitter in it but it still puts on a beautiful display with its different shades of pink. Marshmallow world gets its scent from the marshmallow powder which helps soothe and soften the skin along with some lavender oil with its calming effects, making this the perfect bath bomb for in the evening after a long day or before bed. It will make you feel so relaxed and leave you smelling like sweets. Marshmallow world retails for R 74.50 at Lush.
BLACK ROSE BATH BOMB
I am not really a fan of rose scented products but Lush has created the perfect scent with this bath bomb. Black rose has a fresh rose scent with a spicy finish, which I love, because it isn't too floral or overbearingly sweet. I also love how this bath bomb turns the bath water black with silver glitter, making it look like a starry night sky. This is a great bath bomb for pampering and treating yourself as it contains really good ingredients with great properties such as: fair trade organic cocoa butter for moisturizing, Sicilian lemon oil for cleansing and geranium oil for toning and balancing. The rose absolute along with the other ingredients creates the beautiful fragrance and I was surprised that I was drawn to this bath bomb, but like I said it has the perfect balance of rose and a slight spice. The black rose bath bomb retails for R89.00 at Lush.
SNOW FAIRY BATH BOMB
This bath bomb is only available during Christmas time and this Snow Fairy bath bomb was part of some of the new releases to the Christmas collection of 2019. Every year Lush releases the Snow Fairy range (bath bombs, bubble bars, shower gel, soaps, etc) for Christmas which is probably the most popular scent from their Christmas range. Snow Fairy is a sweet vanilla/candyfloss/bubblegum fragrance but it isn't too overpowering which makes it a favourite for a lot of people (including me). I really loved this bath bomb as I have purchased and tried a few of the Snow Fairy products and it is just such a nostalgic scent for me and it really just makes me think of Christmas time, which is my favourite time of the year. The Snow Fairy bath bomb leaves the bath a beautiful pink colour with a silver shimmer in the water. I am pretty sure I will stock up on some Snow Fairy bath products for Christmas this year including this bath bomb again. I can't find the original price for this bath bomb as it is not available on the Lush website at the moment but I think I paid R69.50 for the bath bomb.
I purchase all of my Lush Cosmetics from their stores (there are quite a few branches across South Africa) or I order from their online store (https://za.lush.com/). Lush is an amazing and environmentally-friendly company that does not test their products on animals, and are fighting against animal testing. Lush also transports their raw ingredients in the most eco-friendly way possible. All of Lush Cosmetic's glitters and jellies are made from seaweed, making them biodegradable (they dissolve in the water over time), and most of their ingredients are: vegan, are purchased from suppliers that also do not test on animals, organic/natural, and the synthetics that they use are safe synthetic ingredients. This is what makes me love this company more is that they look out for the environment and make incredible products, which I know are slightly pricey but I don't consider them ridiculously overpriced. Lush have also created naked products that require no packaging as well as the products that have plastic packaging have been recycled and their paper bags are biodegradable and can be thrown onto the compost heap. I have been using and loving Lush products for five years now and I will always be a huge fan of their products and everything that they stand for.
