Schwarzkopf Gliss Intense Therapy Omegaplex review

In the beginning of November I decided to join the Beauty Bulletin influencers site. Beauty Bulletin is a site where you can do surveys about certain brands and their products that are on trial, and if you qualify for the requirements of that particular survey you will be sent the product for free to test out and review, it is a great way to get real and honest feedback and reviews, because it is being sent to normal people all over South Africa (not just celebrities or people being paid to speak about the products). Beauty Bulletin sends you a 5 week plan of all the social media reviews that they would like from you while testing out the product - photos, posts, videos. I was so surprised that I was chosen to try out the new Schwarzkopf Gliss hair care range after doing the survey and I was immediately excited! This is my full and honest review on the range after I have been using it for the entire month.

The Omegaplex range consists of a shampoo, conditioner and hair mask. This hair care range claims to provide long-lasting protection, and to reconstruct bonds within the hair fibers. The Intense Therapy range has been infused with Omegaplex and keratin serum to repair and protect your hair so that it stays looking beautiful. This range was made specifically for people with overprocessed, damaged hair from colouring and heat styling. I was so excited to try this range out because I have used Gliss hair care products before and have always loved them, and this range is perfect for me because my hair has become quite damaged over time from blow-drying, straightening and curling (I have never coloured my hair). My first impressions of the range: I liked the colour of the packaging and the smell is out of this world (which Gliss never disappoints on when it comes to their hair products).

The shampoo is what I use all over my head to wash first before the conditioner or mask. This shampoo has helped so much with my dry hair and has also helped with my dandruff, I know a lot of other people said that the shampoo made their roots too oily but it was perfect for my extremely dry scalp. I use either the conditioner or the mask and I only put these on the mid part of my hair all the way to the ends (not on the roots at all). I use the mask about 2-3 times a week and leave it in for at least 3 minutes. This entire range smells so amazing and it always leaves my hair feeling so smooth and healthy looking with a wonderful smell as well. The shampoo and conditioner retail for R52.99 each and the hair mask retails for R89.99.

I have been using this hair mask for the entire month and it looks like I have barely used it. I only use a small amount (which you can see in the second image) and it covers and spreads evenly onto all of my hair. A little goes a long way with this product for sure!

When I saw that my first review after my first wash needed to be up, I did not think I would already see a difference in my hair, but I honestly did already see a difference and I felt the difference as well. I also blow-dried my hair that night after my very first wash and my hair looked like I had it done with a hair straightener - I did not have any frizz on top like I usually do, or knots, or puffiness. My hair looked shiny and healthy and it felt really good, so I was blown away already after the first wash because the results were unexpected.

These images were taken before my first wash with the Gliss range, I was using Organics shampoo and conditioner before with no hair treatment or mask. My hair was quite damaged and dry from curling and blow-drying.

The first two images are from the middle of this month when I had used the curling iron on my hair for the first time this month, I was so satisfied with how my hair came out and it looked so healthy even after styling it with heat. The last image is my hair after my last wash of this month (30 November). I did have my hair trimmed this month but the overall look and feel of my hair has changed so much and I am so pleased with these products. My two favourite things about this range is most definitely the smell and the fact that you can still style your hair with heat products and not have to compromise your hair routine at all because this range does such a great job at protecting your hair and making it look sleek after styling it. I have actually become obsessed with this Gliss range and have definitely found my new go to for hair care essentials!
