Rocomamas Review

In August 2017, I tried Rocomamas for the first time. We were in Durbanville and saw the restaurant so we decided to stop off and give it a try.

Walking in, you’re greeted by the bubbly waiters and taken to your seat. I was quite excited to try Rocomamas’ food as I’d heard many people rave about their great food and massive, extravagant milkshakes. The menus are smartly designed where you tick/cross off what you would like, if you choose a burger and you don’t like tomatoes, you can cross it off and they will make sure there’s no tomatoes on your burger. You can also build your own burgers, there’s also long list of ingredients on the menu that you can put onto your burger.

I ended up ordering one of their Freak Shakes: Candylicious- it was cherry and blueberry flavour with whipped cream and sweets on top and white chocolate drizzling down the side. My brother ordered the Surprise Me! shake of the month which was the Harley Quinn- it was blueberry almond bubblegum flavour and was served in a skull mug with sweets on top and blueberry and white chocolate sauce down the side. My milkshake was absolutely amazing, and I honestly think it was one of the best milkshakes I’ve ever had in my life, it wasn’t too much and I genuinely enjoyed it!

I built my own burger, it had a chicken patty with: tomatoes, jalapenos, mozzarella cheese, caramelized onions, bacon and smokey BBQ sauce. The burger was so good and so tasty.

I loved Rocomamas so so much and can’t wait to go back there again, it was definitely worth the stop. I love how everything is done a bit messy, it makes it look effortless. The food was seriously good. I definitely recommend Rocomamas to anyone who is a foodie and isn’t afraid to get a little messy when eating.
