I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and is looking forward to the new year. This is going to my last post of the year to round up everything - all the things I have loved throughout 2018, what this year was for me and what I hope for in 2019.

MY TOP FAVOURITES OF 2018

This is a collage to summarise my top favourite moments, places and things from this year!

WHAT 2018 WAS FOR ME & WHAT I LEARNT

2018 was in many ways a big year for me that brought a lot of excitement, change and stress as it was my very last year of high school. This move from high school and into the real world is such a big step and it gave me a lot to think about all year. I will admit that this year was not always smooth sailing and I definitely had never been this stressed in my life before but I managed to get through it and I learnt from my experiences. All the things that stressed me out had affected my physical health, which I never really thought would happen to me, but I pushed through and I am so lucky to have my friends who were so supportive and made me feel better even when I did not want to be at school at all. I recovered quite quickly after that and when finals came around I was way healthier and less stressed. I learnt a lot from these experiences and have been managing my stress and anxiety a lot better as well as my health since then. This year I also decided to focus on myself and the people closest to me. I thought a lot about what or who I need in my life and what is best for me and I feel like it was the best decisions for me. I cut out the negativity and drama and avoided it as much as I possibly could, which benefited me a lot this year when it came to my close friends and family. It was such a great feeling knowing I would be finishing school even though I am still not entirely sure what I want to study or do career wise, but all I know is that I am going to take things as they come and make the best out of every opportunity for the future. My tips for matriculants would be to just take it easy sometimes - it is a big year filled with so much, learn how to control and cope with your stress (if you struggle with it) as best as you can because matric is a lot of hard work and and dedication, and lastly remember it is your last year as a school student, make the most of it, make memories, and do the best you can because it will be the last time you will get to do any of those things.

WHAT I AM HOPING FOR IN 2019

Next year is going to be another big year for me that will be full of change. It will be my first year as an adult out in the real world and I am planning on taking the year to work until I find exactly what it is I want to do or study for the future, I also want to work so that I can put money aside for future studies or maybe even a car. I am hoping that next year I will be able to make some of my dreams come true, which I know will require hard work, enthusiasm and dedication, which I am willing to put in. I am a little bit nervous but mostly excited for what the new year holds. I think what I am looking forward to the most is being more independent, gaining experience, learning new things, being productive and hopefully finding what my passion is. I am also hoping that my blog will maybe grow a bit more over the course of next year and I will continue to work on it as much as I possibly can and make time for it because it is still something that is important to me and persistence is key.

I hope everyone had an amazing 2018 and that the new year brings positive things your way. I also want to thank everyone who takes the time to look at my blog and read my posts, I appreciate it so much because to me it all counts!
